THE PROBLEM AND THE FOLIO3 SOLUTION

The product manager Randall J. Eike from Socket Head games approached us in order to create a slingshot game, similar to Angry Birds, but using real physics. What the client wanted was an interactive and realistic game backed by AR technology. The basic idea was to have the phone function as the slingshot, enabling users to experience the sensation of aiming.

Folio3 and Socket Head games have successfully partnered over multiple projects in the past. Folio3’s commitment to deliver the highest quality solutions backed by its experience in developing mobile apps and expertise in enterprise systems has enabled it to retain this client.

Once the feasibility was carried out, three team members from Folio3 in conjunction with four more highered by the client in the US were assigned to solely work on the solution. It took almost six months to complete this project.

Based on the requirements put forward by Socket Head Games, the initial layout of the project was generated. The optimal solution was realized after creating numerous prototypes of the application. Both the teams worked closely to produce an Android AR game app, that was featured by Google for its uniqueness. The app was shipped with Lenovo’s AR phone.

TECHNOLOGY USED

Other popular softwares that were utilized include: Unity3D and C.
