2012 – The Year That Was

2012 was an amazing year at Folio3! A year packed with new enterprise development, innovations, achievements, events and activities.

2012 saw our company grow by leaps and bounds, securing a number of new clients and projects as well as awards and accolades for its achievements. It was also the year for innovation, as it saw Folio3 release a variety of cutting edge applications and solutions. Some of the most memorable and significant business developments in the year included:

• Folio3’s Win at the 2012 Arabia 500 Awards
  • Folio3 was ranked #29 on the 2012 AllWorld Fast Growth Arabia500 List. This was the second year in a row that Folio3 was nominated to the Arabia 500!
• Folio3’s “DynAX7” App Winning the Runners-Up Award at the PASHA ICT 2012 Awards
  • Our free Dynamics AX Mobile CRM App “DynAX7” won the Runners-Up Awards in the Best Mobile Application category at the PASHA (Pakistan Software Houses Association) 2012 ICT awards. What made this Award special was the fact that the DynAX7 app was neither complete nor published at the time of its submission and yet managed to beat some of the best mobile apps from around the country to secure the Runners-Up prize.
• Folio3 achieving Microsoft’s Silver Competency in Web Development
  • In 2012 Folio3 also became a Microsoft Silver Certified Partner, achieving Silver Competency in Web Development
• The release of several new enterprise apps such as DynAX7 and SuiteMobile and the latest version of NSDroid
• Our free Android game Candy Monster achieving 300,000 downloads

However the real excitement was at the employees’ front, as our company events calendar was also jam packed with activities the year round, courtesy of our very own ECC (Entertainment & Cultural Committee). From hot shot events to outings, parties and company lunches, there was hardly a month in between where there wasn’t an event planned. A testament to our motto of “Work Hard, Play Hard!”. 2012 also saw the Folio3 family grow substantially, from a team of 164 to over 190 members! Our offices also underwent significant expansion and renovation, gaining bigger working spaces and a brand new look, as shown below.

It truly was a memorable year. 2013 promises to be even bigger and better, with lots of exciting events and activities already planned and I for one, can’t wait see what the coming months bring.
