Interactive web
conferencing platform
for connecting and
engaging people

The Customer

As a leader in Social Conferencing, Maestro Conference provides an interactive platform that allows people to participate in large-scale, truly interactive virtual events featuring real conversations. Using social conferencing, thousands of people can convene around a topic or cause, engage in small group conversation to learn and share, and inspire one another to action and change.

THE PROBLEM AND THE FOLIO3 SOLUTION

Initially, Maestro Conference wanted to build a social component of the calling platform where people can interact together. There were severe high performance issues with the feature set which was being developed for this purpose. It could not support even 5 simultaneous users because of the bad design and architecture.

Folio3 pointed out all the issues in the already existing architecture of the system and suggested a complete system redesign. We suggested a single page application built on “Ember.js” as an open source, scalable framework. We also suggested using the very robust, real-time messaging API “pubnub” handling all the real-time changes on views and the view switching at the client side without losing any of the packets.

Apart of that, we’ve also built up the following features in that social platform from the scratch along with the UI changes that were required for it:

  • Consistent and aligned messages
  • Improved messaging quality through testing, oversight and evaluation
  • Higher degree of transparency and accountability

In addition to this, Folio3 also helped in introducing some major feature set to the platform in the form of:

  • Consistent and aligned messages
  • Improved messaging quality through testing, oversight and evaluation
  • Higher degree of transparency and accountability
